Ranch Deer Valley

The magical place for which the Plitvice Valleys are widely known is the Ranch Deer Valley, a unique open-air zoo. The ranch covers 15 hectares and is home for more than 100 wildlife that most people will never see in real life, let alone get close to.
 

In the Ranch Deer Valley, timid roe deers and hinds and even stubborn fallow deer eat out of visitor hands, allow them to cuddle and take photos with them, and are especially careful and allow more children with disabilities. The Bićanić family, which is dedicated to caring for these graceful forest creatures, has no explanation for this. Animals, believe Bićanići, simply instinctively feel, as do humans.

The tour of the Ranch lasts about an hour and a half, which passes in an instant, followed by a collection of impressions and refreshments of local delicacies, natural juices and local brandy produced by Bićanići and neighboring family farms.

Due to the great interest, the tour must be booked through e-mail or phone a few days in advance. The Ranch is closed on Mondays.

Our tips:
- combine a visit with a tour of the old town of Drežnik and the nearby Korana River Canyon
- Combine a ranch tour with a bike ride from the Degenija Hotel to the Ranch, approximately
1hour in one direction. Drive above the Korana canyon and along the Drežnik Grad fortress.
